Charlotte Peters Rock
"Hoof & Mouth - Pie in the Sky"

Few international issues have made news here like the outbreak of BSE and hoof and mouth disease in Europe. Especially hard hit is Great Britain and, as this song by British activist Charlotte Peters Rock points out - Britain's small farmers. This a cappella tune combines wit and earnestness - and it's not clear if she's completely serious or has gone over the top at the very end. I picked it because it's current, it's informative, and it's pure folk.
