Mary Gauthier
"Our Lady of the Shooting Stars"
Louisianna native Mary Gauthier (go-Sháy) moved up to
Boston and spent several years as the owner of the Dixie Chicken
restaurant there. On the side, she wrote deceptively simple ballads
that had some of the spice of her cooking. She has made a sudden
leap into the folk world with her excellent recent album, Drag
Queens and Limousines. "Our Lady of the Shooting Stars"
is a poetic love ballad that goes deeper and has more of a spiritual
side than most. You can download a free copy from her management's
