**NOTE** This year's National Folk Music Festival at
Sutton Bonington has been cancelled due to the Foot &
Mouth precautions. The organisers have arranged a one day
celebration of traditional music and song at Cecil Sharp House

A week long festival of traditional music, arts and crafts, plus
competitions for Poetry Writing, Song Writing, and Solo
Singing. Gatehouse of Fleet is a picturesque little town
(population 1,000) nestling in the valley of the River Fleet and
only half a mile from the lovely Galloway coastline with cliffs
and sandy beaches. The town is sheltered by an amphitheatre
of hills with a wonderful mountainous hinterland.

A huge variety of concerts, dance displays and traditional music
sessions at venues throughout both Gosport & Fareham on
Hampshire's sunny south coast. The main concerts will be held
in comfortable indoor venues including Fareham's newly-
refurbished Ferneham Hall and the nearby Ashcroft Arts Centre.
There's a Saturday night Ceilidh at the Crofton Community
Centre in Stubbington; Comedy & Cabaret plus live bands at
The Belle Vue Hotel in Lee-on-Solent; more live bands at The
Thorngate Halls in Gosport; a Craft Fayre at the Ferneham Hall
all weekend and dance displays in the streets.
