Described by Andrew Cleal in Folk Roots Magazine as "the most beautiful festival venue in the UK", the Festival (the 11th) is held in the idyllic Larmer Tree Victorian Pleasure Gardens in the heart of the remote and beautiful Cranborne Chase, on the Wiltshire/Dorset border . Music from all around the world on 4 stages in 11 acres of laid back gardens surrounded by eastern temples, peacocks and Nepalese pagodas. The grounds were laid out around the Larmer Tree in 1880 by the pioneering archaeologist General Pitt-Rivers and it soon became a favourite spot with many Victorians including Thomas Hardy who declared "this is the prettiest sight I ever saw in my life."

The county town of Warwick in the rural Heart of England is one of the most complete historic towns in the country. The outstanding medieval Warwick Castle, in view from the festival campsite, perches on a cliff overlooking the River Avon. The Great Fire of 1694 destroyed part of the old town but the elegant rebuilding of the Queen Anne period provides Warwick with a unique architectural heritage.
