Folk Music 101, Part III: Major American Artists
date: 06/14/00
This page is intended to give you a kind of American folk hall of fame. Over the next few months I will be creating a profile on each of these artists, which will include a brief biography, overview of their career, key songs or events, and of course links to websites that give more information on these artists, including lyrics and MP3s. If the name is highlighted, then the page has been completed. Thanks for your patience while this resource is being constructed. As always, your feedback is appreciated - whether it's a criticism/correction or another suggested link.

Here are some of the major figures associated with the great folk music boom of the 1960's, when folk music came to include the "singer-songwriter."
